Just Auto-Updated here! As always you can download it from http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=edgebeta for 32bit/64bit new installations or from http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=edgebeta64 for a manual upgrade on a 64bit installation or if you have the Beta/RC installed you can update via the Prevx GUI>Check for Updates or do a scan and it will Auto-Update. We will have to wait for Joe to give us a change log!

Yes tried that TH,alas no tab to be seen though :'(

Im not aware of any major GUI changes in this Opera Beta that'd cause this to occur, only a redesigned menu tab. ???

Can you make your browser window smaller just in case it's on top of the window and if that is the case open the tab window and drag the tab window to where you want it and close the tab window!

EDIT: I'm going to install Opera 10.60 beta on my VM of Win 7 32bit to see if I can see the problem!

I can confirm that there is no tab in the Opera 10.60 beta in which the Prevx team will have to look into but they probably will not support Opera 10.60 until it comes out of Beta as there could be many other changes before then.

Yeah I don't expect PrevX to look into this unless this issue is still around when Opera 10.60 is released.:thumb:

Just noticed that Opera will update to 10.54 http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1698466&postcount=142 sometime this week so that tells me 10.60 is still some time away!

It seems to be very stable (for me at least),but obviously it isn't imminent then.Looks like I'll be tabless for a while yet.

No browser tab for SoL with Opera 10.54. Reboot and setting SoL to its defaults doesn't help either (Win 7).

It shows fine for me! It could be ontop of your Browser if you can make your Bowser window smaller to see if it is there and if that is the case just open the Tab window and Drag the window to where you want it and close the window and that should do it!

Can you tell us what other security software you running in realtime with Prevx? Maybe a reinstall of Prevx will fix the the problem? Uninstall reboot then install the RC again and make sure you have your license key as you will need to install it after the leaning scan! And if that doesn't help can you please send a scan log to Prevx as stated in this thread: http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=270590

TIA,

TH

My security software hasn't changed recently (Avira , Sandboxie). However, reinstalling the current release version (.171) now crashes all my browsers (Opera, Firefox, IE) on opening. Disabling SOL resolves the problem.
I've just sent a scan log to Prevx. Hope they can work their magic on this issue!

Did you try the new RC .174? Because:

Yes I did. Up until the point I did so SOL was behaving itself perfectly. What I don't understand is why reverting to a previous version that worked well should now cause such dramatic effects to my browsers.

I'm seeing an issue with SOL. When I log into Paypal, it asks me if I want to secure my password. I respond yes and it logs it into the credentials box. Ok, so far. However, next time I log into Paypal, I am again asked to secure the password and its logged again into the credentials box. I should only be asked once, correct? My understanding is that once the credentials are saved, it only prompts you again if you enter that same password into another web site, to prevent a phishing exploit? I'm using build 3.0.5.174 on Win 7 32-bit.
Here's a screenshot showing what's happening:

Edit: Forgot to say I uninstalled then reinstalled Prevx and still get the same results.

Success. I'm relieved to say that I've resolved the problems with SOL I've posted in this thread. The culprit turned out to be Sandboxie (specifically, its background service element) causing all three browsers on my system to crash on opening while SOL was enabled.

Removing Sandboxie has completely solved this. Why this should suddenly have started happening after a year of running the two progs together is anyone's guess. That's computers for you!

I had this issue when using the default skin. When I switched to Windows classic (The only other skin that installs with Opera) the browser tab returned.

Thanks, but this occurred with FF and IE too. As you can see from my previous post it seems the culprit was Sandboxie 'cos everything's working fine now.

hi Joe
a KIS 2011 user say to me that prevx .174 still continue monitoring KIS 2011 behaviour even if it is on Prevx exclusion (and prevx on the Kiss exclusion), well I don't use KIS so I can't investigate (I use Comodo CIS;D ), can you control Joe?

Second Questione the same user say Prevx driver control his keyboard driver, I think this is a check antikeylogger that prevx use

Third, on Security Centre there is Prevx 3 (pay version) but not KISS

Thanks Joe & sory but I can't investigate KISS issue ando so.. I only report here for your check:thumb:
