Hi guys,

I need a piece of advice.

Got a present - a laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium.

I'd like to upgrade to Ultimate.

Now, I know there's a Microsoft Upgrade Anytime program, but I do not know what it includes, except the price.

Is this just a different activation key?
A full iso download?
Do I need to have the basic OS installed and then upgrade?

Any other programs, updates, suggestions?

Can I buy an activation key only?

just purchase a key. Enter it on Anytime upgrade (assuming it is supported) and 10min or so later after reboot you will have Ultimate version. No download.

Hi Mrkvonic,
As far as I know if you can find a cheap retailer selling the Ultimate Edition Anytime Upgrade, that key should work ok for you. It will generally be cheaper than with Microsoft Direct.

I don't know which country you are in, here is a link to Amazon UK's Product £101.04
