Just Auto-Updated here! As always you can download it from http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=edgebeta for 32bit/64bit new installations or from http://info.prevx.com/download.asp?grab=edgebeta64 for a manual upgrade on a 64bit installation or if you have the Beta/RC installed you can update via the Prevx GUI>Check for Updates or do a scan and it will Auto-Update. We will have to wait for Joe to give us a change log!

The reason is it's an RC and Prevx likes to fix problems as fast as they can unlike most software ::)

Well, are there so much problems needed to be fixed every couple of days ?
I don't want to start anything here, just had to comment that.
Good luck ! :P

It's a Release Candidate it's still being worked on so I don't get why you have to make any comment for no reason!

This is a beta forum, would your comments be applicable in the public release forum?

It's a legitimate comment being that majority of other products get their builds updated once or twice a year. Looking at a year rate prevx is in three digits number.
This been posted in beta forum is by pure chance, as I can see beta version are alive for few days, then final build is released and new beta starts immediately forming the magic circle I'm talking about.

It's true Prevx has been through a lot of revisions recently. Both RC versions and Official Release versions have changed. But this just reflects the fact that Prevx is providing support to its customers (including those who post here).
You don't need to upgrade everytime if you don't want to. You can stick with an official release and upgrade every 3 releases (for instance).
I am on official 3.0.5.143 as I haven't needed the features on the last few beta versions. For this new one, 3.0.5.158, I'm waiting for the change log to see if an update will benefit me. ;D

While we do have a number of beta versions, you likely don't hear about when other products update minor releases :) We have a very avid community here which likes to talk about changes so it is disproportionately public whenever we make minor changes. New beta versions are almost always just minor tweaks (only a few dozen lines of code changed) but we don't wait like some companies that charge users for a new version when it is really just an amalgamation of minor bug fixes.
That being said, the changelog is as follows :)
- (PSO) Improved the messaging and logic behind automated credential protection
- (PSO) Added a warning if the user tries to install on a partially supported operating system (i.e. Windows 2000 SP3)
- (P3E) Minor changes to Enterprise support to improve the install process
Please let me know if you have any questions :)

I'm curious why you think this is a problem? Security software needs to keep improving continuously in order to be effective against new malware, resolve FPs and maintain compatibility. In other words the "magic circle" of testing and releases is a good thing. Security software that remains static quickly becomes ineffective and irrelevant.

Usually, software negative comments are plentiful about it NOT being updated/corrected, but peeps, this is the first time since 1990 when my computer hobby started that I've seen a complaint about s/w being updated too much. Unbelievable! ::)

Maybe i'm wrong, but i think all you are misinterpreting prabate's post completely. He to me is using the fine art of humour, a concept sometimes not suited for a forum because so much gets lost (like facial expressions) in between those lines of text.
To me he does not seem to be unhappy about the frequency and is using a lighhearted comment about his underwear making it clear that he feels theres a new build every other week! :D but what do i know i have often missed the facts completely! ;)

pabrate is just one prevx hater... I can see some of his post in this forum saying negative things about prevx :)

Interesting, really interesting :)
I'm not prevx hater, I don't have interest to hate some product, Prevx or whatever.
There was only one comment by me about prevx in some topic about FP's , I just said that one product which starts with P , has found it's own files as malware. That's all.
Looking back now at what I said in this thread, I can't see what I said is not true.
Let alone to deserve such barrage of insulting comments about me.
Therefore I won't participate in this anymore, nor make comments whatsoever about this product.
@Sir Percy, you got it right :)
It was just a moment of good mood.
But you know, some people take their security product of choice very hard.
Almost like I cursed their own family, very emotional.
@PrevxHelp, very good answer. Thank You.
That's what I call normal response.
Just be careful with your followers in the future, one wrong move and they might go knocking on your door demanding some sort of justice :P
