You wouldn't need MBAM. I've never needed it.
A good firewall is important, though.
The Windows firewall or a third party firewall if you want outbound control.
A properly configured non-wireless router would serve as a good hardware firewall.
The mvps HOSTS file (disable DNS client if it's too slow) cuts down on the ads. Fewer ads=less chance you'll click on one by mistake.

I agree just add sandboxie and you are good to go ... don't relly too much on common sense unless you know your common sense is not that common ;)

If you are with Win XP Pro or Win Vista, then go for SRP Policy. And if you are using Windows 7 Ultimate then go for AppLocker. It will give you 99.9% protection. You real "REALTIME" protection.

i believe you have everything you need if you need your computer and internet just for personal things and if you surf on the good side. Anyway i think you do not need anything else :thumb: :thumb:

I still recommend you to use SRP or AppLocker, because it is an inbuilt protection. And you should use it because it won't conflict with any security setup.

Avira + MBAM is all that is needed.
MBAM covers the rogues that AVs seem to miss.

Spyware Blaster is also good. You can use it to block many malicious website at first hand.
