I was just reading an article here
http://lifehacker.com/5520447/windows-maintenance-tips-the-good-bad-and-useless
Win7 x86, IE8, Sywareblaster, Prevx/SO installed
The page keeps trying to load til the page locks up. THen the IE8 window does a quick flash of sorts, page is unfrozen, but the Prevx SafeOnline tab is gone.
Does something on this page crash and disable Prevx SO protection?
Thanks in advance

No Problems here with Win 7 32bit and IE8 but I don't use Sywareblaster!

huh, right you are sorta...
I was able to monkey around with some things and can get the behavior to stop and to re-appear.
Hopefully this isnt a vulnerability path:
This netbook is sorely low on RAM, most are.
When I first bought it and it had less RAM and a crappy IG driver version, both IE and windows explorer would do a brief crash, flash, recover (Win 7 way of being nicer than full perm lock up or BSOD.)
As it pertains to this situation,
If I have multiple apps running and four IE tabs, then click that link, IE "flashes" and quickly restores the page - but no Prevx tab.
If I close all but one tab and the other running apps, the webpage loads fine and PRevx tab remains.
Hopefully flooding / buffer overflow of RAM or video RAM doesnt crash Prevx and allow IE to recover unprotected.
Just a heads up.
If not an issue please ignore above.

This could very well be a case of not having enough available memory to render the tab properly. Note that the tab is not necessary to have protection loaded - protection takes place far beneath the browser so you're still protected even if the tab isn't loading in every browser tab :)
