Avira 9 continued usage info.
I'm using Avira personal free Product version 9.0.0.419 and i'm sure my popup on boot says valid until 30.09.2010
I only manually update the defs, and i also get an OPTION to update to v10, which i decline. So it appears if you want to stay with v9 then that's how to prevent it auto updating to v10.
As there are a few issues with v10 i'm staying with v9 for now.
If it's already auto updated to v10, and you're having problems, then if you can grab v9 from somewhere, you could uninstall v10 and try the above :thumb:
