Hi jmonge,

I'm afraid that I am not understanding your question, sorry.
English is not my native language, neither is it the native language of the developer.
What exactly are you asking?

Actually I wanted you to be more specific about your question, where, when, etc. RegRun is a "complicated" tool with lots of parts.
Anyhow, well, yes, it gives you the ability to check a file in VirusTotal.

I'll give one example on XP-home SP3 (Dutch) about a file from IEClean (from formerly PSC; Kevin and Nancy).

In RegRun I go to Start Control, Startup Group.
I see ietsr.exe mentioned.

216737

At the right side I click on "Good or Bad?"
If I am connected to the internet, the file will be checked at VirusTotal.
I'll get a screen telling me something, depending on the results.

216738

I want to know why it could be bad, so I click on it.
I get:

216739

Hmm, I know for sure that it is good. Maybe it wasn't previous checked at VirusTotal. Let's let RegRun check it again. It does it again at VirusTotal.
I get:

216740

I click on "Detailed View".

216741

Well, actually the file wasn't known in the RegRun Application Database.
Can I do something about that? Yes, I can.

I can click on "Add to Application Database".

216742

After I have done that, and checking it again, I get:

216743

So, as I already knew about this particular file that it is safe, RegRun is now telling that too (well, I told it to do so!).

Even better is to submit that file to Greatis so they can add it generally into the RegRun Application Database.

=====

Well, that's it.
It's just only one small example.

You're welcome, jmonge.
I hope that it answered your question.
It was just only a very small example.

(PS: please do keep in mind that no anti-x is perfect!)
