Hello,
I'm having trouble with my NOD32 v4.2.35 clients not sending email notifications.
This worked fine in v 2.7 for many years, but now that I think about it I hadn't seen any notifications in a while from it either.
Anyway, I use the same smtp server (our ISP's smtp server) for sending mail from my personal account, so I'd know if there was a problem with it right away.
There is *no* error. There is no indication whatsoever that a notification is even attempted to be sent, and there is no email received. I only just noticed it when I saw some Threat Log entries and realized I never received the email notifications.
I just did a few quick tests with the Eicar virus... I saw the warning in my local ESET log, but no email was sent.
I just temporarily changed the SMTP server to point to my internal linux server and tested again, and saw no connection attempt in the logs, so NOD32 isn't even trying to send an email. We do not use any other security product, firewall or otherwise, so I don't see how anything else could be blocking it.
Any ideas?
