Norton Antivirus resue disc removal

Hi guys. Am trying to load McFee antivirus but am being told that a norton rescue Have dona a prog removal and search but unable to locate it. Can anybody tell me how I get rid of it so I can load the McFee. Many thanks Alboy1

The best way to get rid of norton rescue disc is to go to add/remove programs and remove norton rescue disc. and then reboot and it should be gone. if not use search to find norton and symantec. Delete all that comes up as long as you are not running any other norton or symantec programs.
