I thought this project may be of interest for Keepass and Firefox users.

http://keefox.org

Features
-{ Quote: " * Free and open source
* Automatic form filling
* Unobtrusive – KeeFox’s default settings are designed to ensure that you notice it when you need to but it won’t get in your way when you don’t want it to. There are options that will allow you to push KeeFox even further into the background (or make it grab your attention more forcefully if you are a little bit unobservant!)
* Instant log-in to your KeePass password entries straight from Firefox
* One-click save button to add new logins to KeePass automatically
* Supports multiple KeePass users (databases)
* Automatically filled forms can contain more than just a username and password field or even span across more than one page!
* “HTTP/protocol authentication” login support (* requires manual configuration in the KeePass entry)
* Automatically saves the “favicon” for websites to help you identify them next time you log in

One of the great benefits of KeeFox over similar password managers is the link to KeePass which allows you to manage more than just web site passwords in Firefox. For example, you could easily login to websites using Internet Explorer or to any Windows application, store PIN numbers, telephone access codes, WiFi access codes, credit card details, secret notes and even small documents alongside your website passwords.

You can access your passwords on many different platforms including Mac, iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Android and Linux. There are many useful plugins and simple ways to synchronise your passwords across multiple machines. Read full details about KeePass’ features on the official KeePass website." }-

KeeFox is under active development but it is not ready for everyone yet. Please consider trying it out (and tell us what you think) but do read the latest release notes before you get started so you know what to expect.

Anyone have any comments, good or bad, on how KeeFox might affect security of KeePass?

How does this compare to Keepass with KeeForm plugin for Firefox?

-{ Quote: "How does this compare to Keepass with KeeForm plugin for Firefox?" }-This is the inverse of KeePass with KeeForm plug-in. With KeeForm you initiate things by double clicking on URL in KeePass. With KeeFox you browse to any log-on page and if the URL matches an entry in KeePass, the username and password is filled in. I find both useful and complementary.

I'm still hoping for feedback relating to the security of KeeFox. Sensitive data is passed between KeePass and KeyFox. Can a keylogger or other malware detect it? I can't find any info on this critical issue???

I was forced to migrate from KeePass V2 to V1 to get a version that runs on the iPhone and also in Linux/Ubuntu. Does KeeFox also support KeePass V1?
