I've just switched from using ESET Smart Security to ESET NOD32. I used the same username/password that was provided when I purchased my licence to ESET Smart Security. It is OK to do that, isn't it?

Yes, you can use an ESET Smart Security license for either Smart Security or NOD32. Did you have any issues with Smart Security?

No issues. It's just that I prefer a separate firewall.

It is also possible to turn off the firewall completely in ESS by adjusting the firewall integration settings.
