I was going to ask the same question. I wonder if they still get a lot of users.

Download numbers can be misleading. Doesn't mean they are currently using the program.

I bet they still have a lot of users, as most people do not know about the scandal. I would bet it is a small minority of people that read Antimalware news.

I feel sorry for them, the dog lost most of its teeth when they removed almost half of their database that they had stolen from MBAM:ouch:

Seriously, an Editors pic Award from Brothersoft means absolutely nothing.

People hardly use this software these days. They have lost the belief among the users after the scandal.

I suspect that IOBit360 usage is similar to those late night porn channels on satellite tv,nobody admits to using them but they seem to keep earning a living.:P

Allegedly, IOBits did a stupid, sneaky, despicable bit of plagiarism. However. . .
1) They weren't trying to foist off a bad/rogue product on us innocent suckers -- just trying to freeload on someone else's hard work.
2) If they stole, at least they stole really good stuff, & not crap.
3) Moreover, they weren't selling it -- they were giving it away.

Brothersoft is not a site I would download from.
An editors pick from them is about like an editors pick from top 10 reviews. Worthless!:thumbd:

Hi, folks:
We, including myself, are so lucky that are able to access this privileged info re IOBIT's behaviour.
How about those users who do not read Security forum and its like, are they fortunate enough to evade this damage ? and how are they to be classified? the underprivileged? the stupid ? or security-illiterate bunch ?

I call them the average user! Plus the iobit/malwarebytes information was posted at CNET's download site so people who took the time to read the download page know about this.

I doubt that they lost much business. Most people don't even know what happened...it's not like it made national headlines or anything. It wouldn't surprise me if the only people who actually knew were people here on Wilders and other security forums.
Here's what a search on Iobit brings up on google news:
http://news.google.com/news?q=iobit&rls=com.microsoft:*:IE-SearchBox&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=ie7&rlz=1I7ACAW&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wn
Not a major impact IMO.
