I'm not even close to shocked. Writers were already doing this, this website just makes it easier on them.

It is a legitimate business.

So it is legal to set up a business to provide a service for criminals to perfect the tools of their trade

Surely they are breaching terms of use as they provide antivirus engines for public use without the consent of the appropriate AV vendors. Needless to say that not providing samples to AV vendors is unethical to say the least as it helps malware authors improve their creations without a chance for AV vendors to react on them.

It would certainly seem to be against the terms of usage to provide a commercial 'service' such as this.You'd think that the AV vendors involved would be able to take action through the hosting companies to get the sites taken down.

The use of 'virtual money' currencies is also open to debate, surely authorities would be able to do something.
Virtual currencies are taxable after all.

Not surprised. having seen it for over 8 months. But NoVirusThanks is a lot more popular among the dark sides... Normally the FUD services give a hash to the buyer to test that no one is detecting their "product".
