Hi, i had some problems with TDS (see prev. post).
So i decided to download and reinstall TDS-3 again.
A fresh download,because a few days ago,
i did that with PE, and noticed that i was not running the latest release!
And yes, the version of TDS-3 that i was running had an tds3setup.exe file that was 5.125kB (from Aug 2003) and the version i found there now was:5.335 kB
So i asume that this is a later build.

Now the simple question:
What is the best way to find out which build i am running (is not in Help, about) and how do i know if i am running the latest build?
(was not informed regarding the change of build by the Newsletter)
For the record, of course is was informed regarding the new RELEASE
of PE

Albert

BTW The new release of PE is: SuperCalifragilisticExpialidocious
;)

On the TDS site itself should always be the last build. ot sure about the proper size, there should be a checsum posted with it.

Newsletter about Port Explorer (time ago) or Process Guard (this week) ?

Hi Jooske,

Yes, i know that the latest build is there, but which one is it ?

And yes, i am certain about the size, because directly after downloading that version for the last time, i wrote it to an install harddisk AND on a DVD-rw and both versions are 5.125kB and the version that is on the website now is: 5.335kB

About the newsletter it was about the change of RELEASE of PG
and i didn't receive something about a change of TDS-3 build(s)

I don't mind about the last thing, i only want to know how i can see When and IF there is a change of builds in one of my DiamondCS programs and if there is another way then compairing them by downloading and compairing the byte-sizes.

There is an 'update databases' in TDS but not 'check for program updates'.

Did anyone else noticed a different filesize?

I can confirm that the tds3setup.exe is shown as 5,125KB in windows. Mine is dated 6/102003.
The difference between windows and the DCS website ilesizes is probably just the way that different software interprets file size.
Mine has the checksum - MD5 - 3BF5F75FD556DD4FF5EBA4994D09379F as checked by CryptoSuite in my holding folder.

The size difference is so small, maybe the radius shipping with it was renewed, such things one can imagine.

i downloaded both versions, and checked them both on my pc.
Then i saw the difference in filesizes.
That is when i expected that there are different builds.

I will try to do a binairy compair ....

start with the radius.td3, which might explain it already, as the amount of references has more then doubled since 1983.

Hi, i understand that the difference Can be in radius,
but it would be nice, if someone could confirm here, that there is only one build-version of TDS-3 released.
And that i only have to download the files from the DiamondCS website
if there is a new RELEASE.

Hi, unixmagic

Pilli is right about the checksum I just look at mine with Process Guard and TDS's Checksum is:- 3AD0B335725C7ED1A60FEA0904939390.

Probably as jooske says bigger radius.td3.
