View Full Version : Drive Backup 10 Server Not Starting?

Hi there,

I'm evaluating Drive Backup 10 Server, but I cannot start it. It gives the following error:

Operation failed, drive not ready error
Error code 0x10097

I'm trying it on a 32bit Windows Server 2003R2 SP2. It is a DELL server.

Can it be that the disk-setup is bothering it? The disk has a special EISA partition which doesn't have a driveletter.

Anyone have a idea how to get this program running?

Thanks!

Are you using the newer build of DB10 - build 10505?

If not , visit the My Account section and you can d/l it from there:

Hello prodev,

Did you restart the server after the installation? Nothing about your partitions look unusual. The EISA partition shouldn't give us any problems at all. We'll be happy take a look at your log files. Send us the stubact.log located in Paragon program folder.

Hi Tommy,

Yes, I restarted multiple times. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the program, but that didn't help either.

Besides the stubact.log I found 2 other interesting files with log-information. All 3 files have been emailed to you.

Thank you!

Hi prodev,

I think the problem is with the Disk 0, the removable drive G:

Right-click the device > properties > device usage > and temporarily disable it. Then restart Paragon Drive Backup.

"OpenPhysicalDrive 0x00 - OK
GetDriveParameters 0x80
IOCTL_DISK_GET_DRIVE_GEOMETRY failed: Error (0x15) The device is not ready."

Too bad, that didn't work. Maybe i've to reboot, but I can't do that just now. As soon as it has rebooted I will let you know.

Hi Tommy!

Thanks for your help, after disabling the drive and rebooting I was finally able to start the program. Now I can start testing the program.
