OpenSUSE and Mandriva both offer network management in their YaST/System Control Center, with the advantage of being able to connect when Xorg isn't running. *ubuntu used to rely on /etc/network/interfaces, but since 9.4 that seems to result in conflicts with the desktop network managers.

On one laptop I find Kubuntu's network driver ath9k less reliable than OpenSUSE/Mandriva/Fedora.
On my desktops Mandriva installs the madwifi driver as opposed to ath5k, which results in a noticeable improvement.
And then we have the issue of font rendering quality... Each distro has their pro's and cons...

Well, I will admit that I have yet to play with my SUSE partition, sticking with Ubuntu. But that's now going to change. Thanks for the review.
BTW, Mrk, your reviews and tutorials make reading stuff a pleasure.

Seems ok here. Perhaps a bit slower than usual, but that could just be time of day. Nothing dramatic...

Last Result:
Download Speed: 14957 kbps (1869.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 972 kbps (121.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
