As promised, grsync tutorial - a lovely backup utility for Linux ...

I've written a tutorial explaining how to use Grsync, a GUI frontend for the powerful, flexibile and robust rsync data synchronization utility, which allows secure connections, data compression, simulation of actual backups, easy switching bewtween source and destination for restore, and more. On top of that, it has powerful filters and will work with Samba shares or even USB disks formatted with NTFS. Do take a look.

I always use grsync. It's fast and ultra reliable. See here http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.php?p=1494839&postcount=1
I think I am in good company seeing that Mrk fancies it as well...:)

i installed it a few days a go to start using for backups. i think it looks good.

i really, really, really need to backup and reinstall, my os hasn't been supported for about a year now! :o but i can't bring myself to try and get my external hd working, it's useless lol. actually i think the hd is broken, it was making a clicking sound, i might try it one more time with a different hd.
