Wow, an opening post without an opinion.
One might get the idea that this is just ordinairy spam.

Getting back ontopic:
Why use CAST 256 when you have AES to your disposal?
That just doesn't make sense.
Even when used a in cascade it sounds looks like the weakest link of them all.

Hi

No intention for spam. CAST 256 (invented by Carlisle Adams and Stafford Tavares) replaced AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) well this is what I think, CAST 256 was in Competition to serpent and this as candidat for AES.

I dont use frequently encryption softwares, but since secretdrive 32 bits is a freeware so I thought to mention and to have a opinion on it if fellows of this forum have already used it.

CAST 256 did not replace AES.
It was in competition with the likes of Rijndael, and did not made it to get the label of "AES" .
Only Rijndael got that honour.

Hi
So I see the best encryption should be with ■AES (Rijndael). Well things to learn.
