a-squared free anti-malware 4.5 virus detection

installed the free version of this 2 days ago. already have resource hog mcafee virus scan plus installed(subscription ends next month). my question is this: when a trojan tries to install itself,a mcafee window pops up & says it stopped/deleted it. if the same thing happens with a-squared 4.5, will it block it also & alert me with a popup the same way mcafee does? sorry for my ignorance, i'm not as knowledgeable as the rest of you. THANX for your time/help.

first of all, Asquared free wont detect anything in realtime, its only an ondemand scanner.

it is working all good here with asquare and defensewall;) the slow down isue went away after disabling mbam;D
