I recently updated NOD32 from V2.7 to V4.0.467.0, after installing the new version the problem started. I reinstalled NOD32 like this:

First when you start the computer it is extremely slow compared to before and for the most time it stops completely for a couple of minutes and then finally the computer is ready to use. Several time Windows Explorer has stopped working and had to be restarted, both under upstarting the computer and when using the computer normal. Often programs that is supposed to be running do not start, it wont show in the system tray, especially after restarting Windows Explorer. I have used Blackspears extra settings in V2 without any problems and I am using them now in V4, I followed this guide:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ 2.1 GHz Socket AM2, 1 MB
RAM Memory: 2GB
Motherboard: NVIDIA GeForce 6100 nForce 405
Graphics Card: Nvida, GF9400GT 1GB
OS: Windows Vista Home Premium, 32-bit, SP2
Firewall: Online Armor

What should I do to fix it?

I'd strongly recommend using default settings. When enabling advanced heuristics and runtime packers on access, you are warned that doing so may affect system performance.
