Hi,

For a family member with an old PC I tried Presto. It really worked nice, found the wireless card, but did not find the audio (Realtek ALC888).

I tried Wubi with Xubuntu, same problem. Wubi has the disadvantage over Presto that it does not see teh Windows NTFS file, while Presto finds these files easily.

So I have to one of the problems below:

a) get the ALC888 realtek working

b) When it can't be done in Presto (due to limited terminal/admin options), I have to find a way to get Xubuntu 'seeing' the old windows (NTFS) partitions (can I install a driver which is able to access NTFS drives?)

Regards

Kees

Install ntfs-3g to access NTFS partitions.
