Ever since I made a disk image with the program, my other HDD would be lit solid from time to time. I downloaded Process Monitor and found out that (maybe) Windows Search was trying to index it. So I had to go to indexing properties, advanced, and then unselect .mrimg files and rebuild the index. Anyone else notice this?

What I did above doesn't seem to work at all. On the process monitor, it shows svchost.exe reading the macrium image file continuously, for maybe about 30 seconds at a time, sporadically. I don't know how to find out what service svchost.exe is actually using.

Sounds to me like you mounted an image and never detached it. I've never knowingly encountered this problem, but I can see how it could happen. It's easy to forget to detach a mounted image once you've finished browsing it.
