I went to MajorGeeks and downloaded firefox 3.5.4 with a release date shown of Oct 27. I did a md5 verify with 3.5.4 that I downloaded from the ftp link in my previous post and the hashes were the same. So, I am assuming that MajorGeeks would not release a beta. I deleted the ftp link.

It's not a beta; it's an RC (build 3).
I've been using it as my primary browser and it's working just fine.
FWIW......

Isn't there supposed to be some Flash bug fix with this or something?

Fixes the following issues:
* Several security issues (http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox35.html#firefox3.5.4).

acuariano, there are 3 Wilders threads regarding that topic:
Silent add-on Install for Firefox from Microsoft (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=255875) | Microsoft invades firefox (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=244495) | Microsoft Updates Firefox? (http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=232220)
Need to review them all, in order to get a sense of what it takes to remove the Microsoft DRM from your Firefox add-ons.

Hi,
If you want to disable any plug-in, simply select it and click the Disable button. You don't have to disable the Microsoft DRM plug-in. It's used for playing Windows Media content protected by Digital Rights Management.
what i stil wonder if firefox let another installed without notification.
hope......no yahoo toolbar..lol!!!!!!!!
