NEW YORK--In a surprise move, Microsoft has started selling computers and third-party software via its online store.

Early on Thursday, though, Microsoft revamped its online store, which had been an outlet only for Microsoft products. The remake of the online store comes just as Microsoft is launching Windows 7." }-Story (http://news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-10381031-56.html)

People are going to believe that third party programs and hardware are vouched for by Microsoft and inevitably there will be problems and thus disgruntled customers.

This might be the last thing Microsoft needs right now.

That's interesting. I never thought of Microsoft having a store.
Not much selection for desktops though, just one model.
It will be interesting to see what they have available in the coming months and at what price.
