Why doesn't ESS Notify of New Version?

I think this would be a good feature when the program updates to the program itself are released.

Program modules are updated automatically when available. It's similar with program component updates (PCU) which include literally updates of all files, including help files. As for build update, one of the moderator said in v5 it will add the feature to notify users when there's any
