Quotes:

As of March 24, 2004 we have decided to discontinue the development project that we all know as AIDA32. Development of AIDA32 has been started years ago, and the project went first public in April 2001. AIDA32 has become the de facto standard for both home and corporate system diagnosis and network audit, winning several awards including "Freeware Product of the Year" by Support Alert newsletter in December 2002.

Aida32.hu has well served this project almost without any issues, providing access to over half a million of users in 150 countries worldwide. For the exceptional quality of service, we'd like to send our special thanks to Hunet Kft, our internet service provider and software supplier.

To help you find products to relieve AIDA32, hereby we publish our favorites:

Sorry to see you go, I am sure a lot of people appreciate the work you have put in on this program. It is always sad to see a good product just fade away.

Heya Kent ! :)

I have seen announcements at the AIDA-site about that Lavasys-Everest program.
But at the moment I haven't downloaded/installed it.
If you have more info about it, please feel free to post about it (maybe better start a new thread for it and give the link for such a new thread here, but I leave that up to you and the admins/mods). I would love to learn more about it.

Cheers, Jan.

Hi all,

Just wanted to second the thanks to the developer of Aida32- what a superb piece of software it is/was.

I too will be sad to see it go, but best wishes to the author who is, according to the Forum, marrying a new job... ;D or something/someone.... ;)

:)

greets and farewells,

Chris

I'll miss it too, even though I didn't use it often. Hopefully it'll keep running a while longer, and doesn't have that "version too old" thing built into it like JV-16 did.

I think what impressed me most about it was its hardware database. Just about everything else on earth, including WinXP, "identifies" my monitor as simply plug-n-play -- but AIDA correctly pinned it down to make, model, serial no., and even approx. date of manufacture.

I too am sorry about this, but all things change and I wish the best for the author......

SiSoft Sandra still has a free standard version for home users in case anyone wants to check it out.
