I've just started playing around with Virtualization Manager and it seems like a promising product.

However, after attempting to use the P2V utility to create a virtual image of a Windows XP installation it doesn't give me the option to create a Virtual PC image, only a VMWare image. It's implying this is because the size of the disk is not supported (it's 160gb but only 60gb is data). I'm not aware of a limit on Virtual PC virtual disks size. Have I missed something or is this a limit in the Virtualization Manager software? I can't find anything stating what the limits are.

Can anyone offer any clarity on this?

Thanks

The standard VPC 2007 drive size limit is 127GB. In my opinion, it's way too small.

You could just shrink the XP partition first - to conform to the limitations of Virtual PC.

Then Paragon will offer you the option.

Hope it helps.

With a bit of luck - there may be a new version of Virtual PC.
