G'Day Noddys'

ESET SS4 likes to advise that "the latest version of Windows update" is not installed and CyberMan holds his breath until his eye turns orange in disapproval.

Trouble is XP is installed and IE8 and XP seem not to get along with each other. IE8 is forever 'spitting the dummy' and closing browsers and windows.

Now this has nothing to do with ESS except for the fact that Cyberman seems to have a desire to be a "Homeland Security Secret Agent" and keeps 'snitching' that someone has re-installed that old beast IE7 and hence he squeals "the latest version of Windows update is not installed" and holds his breath until his eye turns orange.

Its really annoying. How can I disable this feature?

(or better still how do I get 'IE8' to settle down?)

Hello,

For information on how to disable notification of Windows updates in your copy of ESET Smart Security, see ESET Knowledgebase Article #2196, "How do I disable my ESET security product from notifying me about Windows updates? (4.0) (http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2196)."
