I beta tested Sytem backup 2009 and sent a detailed report.
I received a response thanking me for my excellent report.
I beta tested System Backup 2010 RC and also sent a detailed report.
I see the Final version is on the Paragon site.
Oddly, I received no response at all to my report about 2010 - or notification about the final version.
Is that normal?

Computeractive are hosting a giveaway of Paragon System Backup 2010 - it is the RC build ( biont.dll 9.0.101.9952 )
Is the Final release exactly the same build as the RC?
I hope not, because I sent a report detailing issues with the RC.

I use the trial of System Backup of 2010 and I have some issues too. Using it with Win7 after I wakeup the pc from sleep..I get an empty error box.

The RC version? Strange, because I downloaded the trial from their site. I didn't know that they could ever give RC as trial. I thought System Backup 2010 was officially released.
Thank you for your answer.

Hi NoIos,
That was the problem I had with the RC version.
I don't imagine the Final version is exactly the same as the RC version.
It may be that particular issue is still there in the final version - or it may be that we have something unusual about our systems , and it all works perfectly for everyone else.
I haven't seen anybody else mention it.
You will be better off using Drive Backup - more features and it all works superbly for me on 7 x64 and Vista SP2 x64.
The Drive Backup Free version is very basic, though. You may want to look at the Personal or Professional versions.
They have a special offer on the Drive Backup Professional - it is the same price as the Personal at the moment.
The trials are not fully functional - they are just demos - to give an idea of what the product is like.
Have you got the latest free program ?
Partition Manager 9.5 Professional - also works perfectly on my 7x64 and Vista x64 systems - you need to be quick , the giveaway ends on 18th Oct.:

I too have Paragon System Backup 2010 RC1, but have had no response to an enquiry to Paragon Software as to when the final version will be released in the UK.
I do have the Personal Version of Drive Backup from Paragon on a disc, which I uninstalled when deciding to try Paragon System Backup. I have a 1TB external drive and wonder if I should reinstall Drive Backup and remove System Backup.
I also have the current free offering of Paragon Partition Manager.
Any advice appreciated!

Hello Green Giant,
It depends what you want. If System Backup is working well for you - and you like the fit and forget approach - stick with it.
If you want the extra features and functions of Drive Backup - file and folder Backup, the ability to control compression levels and choose full or differential on a schedule, as well as the included partitioning - then go for that instead.
Perhaps they haven't decided on a release date in UK yet for System Backup 2010 final.

Hi Green Giant,
Did you send a beta report about System Backup - it's worth sending one in - even if you are having no issues.
