When using the Windows Firewall the network and sharing options "Network Discovery" and "File Sharing" can be disabled. However, with ESS 4 installed, Vista's Network and Sharing Center shows the green light icon indicating that they are enabled and that Windows Firewall will be enabled if I want to disable them (see VistaOptions.png).
But the "Protection mode of your computer in the network" is set to strict within ESS. This option clearly states that your computer will not be visible to other computers in the network (inc. shared folders and printers) (see Strict.png).
So my question is three fold:
1. Why does the ESS and the Vista Network and Sharing Center not agree?
2. Which one is telling the truth: Vista of ESS?
3. Is this a bug in the program or am I missing something obvious?
Thanks
