Hi Guys,
In my house I have a wireless network, Westell Wirespeed Modem (approx 2004 year), Linksys WRT160N wireless router. This scenario works fine for the computers in the house.
I bought a new Westell modem from Verizon, which can be "Bridge" or "Bridge Routed" --- I chose "Bridge Routed for the garage (where I fix infected PC's). I go into the house unplug the wireless modem & router > plug the new modem "Bridge Routed" in & cannot connect. Bring the wireless "modem plus router" hook up via ethernet cable & all works well.
1. I understand you cannot have 2 modems on one DSL line, hence the disconnect of wireless setup, before connecting the machines in the garage.
2. Without a another phone line, I would like to have internet, plus keep my wireless setup seperate from my clients (infected) PC.
I thought I was being sharp with the two modem idea, but this has failed.
