This tool is for opening TC volumes without the admin privilages, but it's only for 4.3 and down. Is there a more updated version?

Sadly, no there is not. The project, which is just a GUI for FreeOTFE Explorer, has been abandoned.

That's not true!

FreeOTFE Explorer has NOTHING to do with TrueCrypt Explorer, and is still very much actively maintained!

The latest version was released only a few days ago!

TrueCrypt Explorer, on the other hand, was abandoned a long time ago, and only supports relatively insecure CBC-based encryption (unlike FreeOTFE/FreeOTFE Explorer, which uses XTS).

FreeOTFE Explorer also looks and functions a lot better; TrueCrypt Explorer would need quite a lot of work done on it to get up to the same level; it's only a very basic "proof of concept" system, and not ready for production use.
