Rootkit Detection

What module inside of ESET NOD32/Smart Security provides detection capabilities of Kernel mode Rootkits, and other Rootkits. Also what can I do as a Systems Administrator to maximize detection of Root Kits? I read from third party forums that the Rootkit detection in NOD32 is from the Advanced Heuristics engine
