I have not updated in a since 30 Aug. Today the update is evidently 44,270 kb. What is happening with such a large update?

Jerry

Dear JerryM:

my understanding (and it might be best to check emsi forum),is if you miss 15 consecutive updates,
you are really downloading the entire data base.
Even with daily updates, I ran into huge updates,or stalled Ikarus Updates.
One thing I found that helped, was to kill the update, and restart.

Thanks, SammyJack,

I had the same thing happen a coupe of weeks ago. It is probably the compete data base.
I decided to uninstall it. I did not want to go through such update problems, and since I have SAS Pro, and MBAM free it was just a trial for A Squared.

I appreciate the information.

Regards,
Jerry

This has been extended to the last 50 consecutive updates (about 2 weeks) recently.

Those enjoying the free version of this program, just letting you know GIZMO readers can apply a coupon code and receive $30 off the price of a-squared anti-malware.

Meaning, you get the full version for only a few bucks. :thumb: Offer is valid until 30 September. All you have to do is apply the code when ordering (click buy, then apply the coupon code).

Excellent, i have paid licenses for both A-Squared and Mamutu but was only using A2 on demand for a second opinion. Almost every time i went to scan a simple 1MB file i had to download a 50MB database of definitions, so it's been uninstalled for a few months.

So this is welcome change, i will reinstall now.
