Fantastic offer, got my key. Installed it and loved it - and then found it doesn't play nice with the in-game overlay that Steam uses. It crashes the process once you quit a game - and as an avid gamer that is a real showstopper for me :(

I have read a few forums where people have this same issue - I will wait until it is fixed I guess, and then I will reinstall, because it really is a fantastic piece of software!

This is great, thanks! I'm looking forward to using this as soon as OA adds Windows 7 support (I know, it's coming) 8)

I also use Steam, and there are no crashes here. Make sure that the Steam directory is added to Online Armor's exclusion list; that's probably what's causing your problems.

Actually, you say that it crashes the process after Steam closes. Are you by any chance using Vista? If you are, did the problem exist before you installed OA? Because I -- along with many, many others using Vista and Steam -- get crashes after a Steam game exits. It's a Steam bug. As a matter of fact, I still get occasional errors: "hl2.exe has encountered an error and needs to close." That's considered "normal", and it's really nothing to worry about. A Google search will turn up others with similar problems.

Now, if the problem never occurred before OA was installed, then that's different.

I am currently testing the trial version of Online Armor Premium. Can I use the Gizmo's key on this version without uninstalling it first?

It doesn't work.

I register, I go to https://www.tallemu.com/user_area_login.html, I try to log in, "Invalid user name or bad password!", I go back and try to register again, "Customer with this e-mail already registered", I proceed to the user area and try to log in to no avail, I click on "I've forgotten my password", I type in my email address and click on "Mail me my password, please!" and I get "User with such e-mail not registered on our web site" in red letters... :(

The user area registration is just for using the user area. It has no relation to your OA registration number or password. Pick an easy password to register for accessing the user area. You will rarely need it.

Never happened until I installed OA - its GameOverlayUI.exe that crashes, memory cannot be read etc etc. A quick Google for it shows that there are a few people having this issue, and that it is OA related. I can't believe I never thought of adding the Steam folder to the exclusions... Anyway, if the problem persists I'll make a new thread about it - otherwise this one will just go off topic.

Fantastic offer, fantastic software (once I have it working as I want it).

Thank you Webster. Great find. I just applied for, and got my free license today. I am a OA++ registered owner, but there is always the possibility I would go back to a separate firewall, antimalware setup. I have a license key for a-squared antimlware, and OA free ran great with it. So this gives me some options. :)

Once you enter it into OA, therefore if you install it for the first time and use this key to activate OA.

Don't know why the address is needed, maybe they will visit you at home. :doubt:
But you can fill in a wrong street address by accident. :lurking:

However, when your version is registered, you can click "Open User Area" from tray menu to manage your license and your details.

Cheers
