Problem ESET 4 With Windows Vista, Ie

when i install ESET 4 smart i have problem for connection for INTERNET
all thing in windows can be access to INTERNET,like messenger msn and yahoo and skybe and update database for ESET 4 ,
Just Internet explorer can not open page and give me massage
can not open page it is behavior like he dos not see the INTERNET connection
i try to fix socks and reinstall network card drive and re install INTERNET explore 7 and upgrade it to INTERNET explore 8 but it does not fix the problem
exactly this happen in windows vista just and tell the windows massage when i try to fix connection she told me i have problem for DNS " thing's like that "
i try many way to fix this but is not work i force to re install windows vista and then install ESET V 3,....
so if any one have any suggestions or solution for that tell me for that prob,
and take this

1.Just this problem happen in windows vista with ESET 4 .
2.In windows vista with ESET 3 i didn't have any problem .
3.This problem it is appear in laptop more than PC .

Hi Najy....i'm having a similar problem. Can I just ask if this is a fresh installation of Vista? Also, does it help to temporarily disable the firewall or change the filtering mode to interactive or automatic (depending on what it is usually set to)?

OK,
I install new vista windows in clean installation and then directly install ESET smart then the problem that I said appear ,so I try to fix firewall and I playing and I take time by playing in setting firewall but is not fix anything, I uninstall ESET but it is still doesn’t open page with IE ,but as I said in first topic all things can be connect to internet like msn ,yahoo and so on
Can be connect to internet ,
Look I think some problem a pear and happen in cache DNS or some problem happen in register of windows ,
I send this problem to support of ESET they didn’t help me
I see this problem in my job because I fix pc and laptop exactly between 10 to 13 daily ,
So I have and see many problem to fix it but this problem is ~Snip~ to fix it,
No I convert to depend on my work Avira antivirus and I left ESET ,

Try to see some one experience , deal with core operating system .

how many firewalls do you have configured in your computer?

1.widows firewall ,i disable it .
2.ESET firewall , i try to change setting .
but is not fix anything

verify the firewall rules
and change the firewall to interactive mode
(to verify the traffic behavior and create the rule if you want it)

you may have some rules to block IE or some ports...

I uninstall ESET smart and uncheck anything relate to firewall from network card properties but problem still, i think it crash something in register or dns cache

the uninstall procedure of ESET products removes all drivers from the system except some files in your profile that can be deleted...

without ESS installed your system must work without problems unless you have problems in OS files or registry...

problems in OS files or registry, I need to Know wt is it , I can use system restore to solve it but I need wt happen why this happen, I can use Norton Ghost to protect my Os but why this happen . We need to understanding what happen . How can Fix it directly .
