Vista FW - Active Profile

Hello

Can anyone explain why Vista fw's active profile defaults to Public rather than Private when wireless behind a router on a simple home network?

I just started to tinker with it and set up in/out rules for opera.exe and found I couldn't connect until I set these rules up under Public rather than Private, the former being the apparently unchangeable active profile.

OK, I had a VM set as a public rather than private network - changed it to private and now active profile is private.
