Hi everyone,

While surfing the Net I came across with this information: http://www.adobe.com/support/security/advisories/apsa09-03.html

While a fix is developed, Adobe recommends users to keep their A/V definitions up-to-date.

I know there are several A/V companies already working to create virus defs. to mitigate this exploit. However, I'm not aware if ESET has already come up with something regarding this, thus if an ESET moderator/employee could shed some light regarding this matter we'd certainly appreciate it.

My apologies if this has already been posted but using the Forum Search function didn't turn up any results.

Kind regards,

Carlos

The ESET software will detect anything the exploit tries to put on your system, but it can't stop the exploit from being used. Keeping your A/V software up to date is recommended to catch anything that may come through the exploit.

The Adobe exploits will be patched eventually, Adobe likes to warn of exploits but takes a good while to patch them. This will happen soon as this has brought harsch criticism of Adobe of late.
