I agree with notageek.

Avast! http://www.avast.com/ has the best email scanning of the free ones. It is constantly blocking viruses and worms on my system. And during the first outbreak of MyDoom, I was receiving 300 plus viruses and worms per day and Avast did its job admirably. Plus, their forum is extremely helpful and friendly. ;D
