What's the Best Connection Interval/Update Interval?

As always when deploying these products, I'm concerned about using the little bandwidth that I have available most efficiently.

I have one ERAS handling over 100 desktops and servers some of which are at remote sites. We have about 50 desktops at the main site and around 50 remote computers.

What's the best connection interval and update interval to make sure that I use my available bandwidth more efficiently.

I think the 5 minute administration/1 hour update intervals should be alright. Checking for an update (when a client doesn't need one) only moves about 9kb of data, and status reporting is a similarly small number unless there are events that need to be logged. My RAS is averaging 60KBps transmit and 20 recieve when sitting idle with close to 600 nodes attached to it and I think most of that transmit bandwidth is because I leave the management console sitting in the system tray where it refreshes on a regular basis.

I agree with SmackyTheFrog. The default settings use very little bandwidth. The only time you see a real increase is when the clients actually have an update to download, and that only tends to happen a couple times a day.
