View Full Version : InDepth Scan Crashes

ESET 4.0.417.0
When I run a Custom (C: only) InDepth scan the system locks-up after several minutes of scanning. Not sure where it hangs, cause I don't sit here and watch it, and by the time it crashes the screen saver (blank screen) has already activated. I have no problem with the Smart Scan or StartUp Scan. I have SpyDoctor running, have scanned with Adaware with no hits in either.

Suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem - but instead of SpyDoctor - I was running Threatfire as well.

I uninstalled Threatfire and now use Malwarebytes instead.

Try it without SpyDoctor running.

Hello,

The current version of ESET Smart Security is v4.0.437.0. Can you upgrade to that and then try performing the scan again?
