All I can say is... look at the price tag! ;D It seems you can use the free version for 2 hours, then the manual or so will tell you more about what I mentioned first. ;D Seriously, let the hardware FW (router) do the job. ;)

Most prominent firewalls included a anti-DOS component. So IMO it would be better to stick with a known and well regarded outfit rather than fiddle around.
