Maximum protection may not be ensured - Operating system is not up to date

Starting today I get the messges that "Maximum protection may not be ensured" and "Operating system is not up to date". If I click on the provided link in the message a list of updates shows up and they are _all_ language packs.

I checked my "Setup - Advanced Setup... - Tools - System updates - Notify about missing updates from level" setting and it is set to Critical updates. The language packs are all optional updates.

Looking at the Event log there has not been any program modules updates since 2009-06-05.

ESET NOD32 Antivirus v 4.0.437.0

I did had some critical updates today for Vista (Dont know if 7 had them today also) and for Office 2007. If you search for updates are you sure no new available updates show up?

Does a reboot help?

The inforrmation about missing updates is retrieved from the Windows Update service. I for one haven't come across any discrepancies between the updates notifies by ESET and WU.

As for program module updates, both the archive and SysInspector modules have been updated recently as you can see. If you don't have these updates logged, most likely you've set to log only information about more critical events.

Yes, I have verified again that there are no other updates other than the language packs. I have my system configured to download updates automatically and ask me to install them, I do not know if that matters.

Restarting the system did not help.

However, the problem solved itself when I clicked the "System Update" button in NOD in the dialog with the list of updates. It just brought me to the windows update page which still stated that the system is up to date.

It's solved for me at least. I'll post again if the problem re-appears.

The last step in the provided description seems to clear the message.

It would be better if the message got cleared automatically when all updates have been installed.
