As well as a notification that my virus definitions have been updated, I often get a similar message saying 'The program modules ahve been updated' Does anyone else get this, is it normal? I have been an Esset user for several years but only seem to have noticed this message over the last few months and recently I can get it several times a day??

Yes, it is normal for ESET to get module updates.

Normally you shouldn't receive more program updates per day. The best would be if you could post here an excerpt from the event log with events that have occurred during last 24 hours.
