... Is it actually worth anything?

I ask this because I've got an old Windows 2000 box that I'm trying to secure to the maximum possible extent, and MS is still updating the Malware Removal Tool for Win2k; it's the only thing that has me keeping Windows Updates (and the Background Intelligent Transfer Service) enabled.

Gullible Jones, when I read articles such as these:

Microsoft puts the kibosh on Facebook worm Koobface (http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9129428/Microsoft_puts_the_kibosh_on_Facebook_worm_Koobface) | Microsoft purges phony security software from 1 million PCs (http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9121161/Microsoft_purges_phony_security_software_from_1_million_PCs)

IMO, the Free MSRT is worthy and worth the effort to run its updated version during Patch Tuesdays.

Cool... Thanks for the info. Guess I'll keep Windows Updates on.
