Which anti-malware/antivirus do you recommend for one Windows Server 2008 x64 (no volume licenses or "enterprise" editions please, it's really only one single server; in addition, it does ftps only and has no CIFS traffic at all, so no Windows users etc. for which the volume licenses account: "10 users and up" and such)?

Currently, I look if the desktop versions of Kaspersky, G-Data, Bitdefender etc. work on the server (Avira refuses install)...

If you have windows server you must install this avira :

http://www.avira.com/fr/downloads/avira_antivir_server.html

So you can also try Zone alarm Pro or OutPost Firewall Pro with a-squared by emsisoft.

To all,

How about we save everyone a bit of bother and refrain from posting instructions designed to subvert product licensing restrictions? OK? Thanks in advance.

f-prot (http://www.f-prot.com/) or vipre (http://www.sunbeltsoftware.com/Home-Home-Office/VIPRE/)
both work on windows server 2008 and you can buy a single license for them.

try one at a time and choose the one you like best.

If i was you i would setup a linux server instead but its up to you ive given three different options now.
