Mod: feel free to move this topic.

I'm trying to find all the browers different cache. I use Win xp home and it seems some browsers put the temporary files in different places for different users. IE is pretty easy, but it's Netscape 7.1 and Mozilla and Co. (K-Meleon, Firefox, Firebird, etc.) that I can't seem to find.

Point me to a faq, if there is one. thanks.

I believe Mozilla and Netscape cache location should be the same or similar:

C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\Default User\iaunlnq9.slt\Cache

Where "USER" and "Default User" could be named differently depending on your account structure. Also, iaunlnq9.slt could be anything.slt.

Might be easiest to search for any folders named cache.

Are you talking about this? (given to me by another person)

To clear the cache in Netscape Navigator
1. Select Edit > Preferences.

2. Expand the Category named Advanced.

3. Highlight the Category named Cache.

4. Select the Clear Memory Cache button.

5. Select the Clear Disk Cache button

Here's an easier wat to find where mozilla stores its cache on your computer. Click the edit tab/preferences/advanced/ cache.
