I wonder why it still can,t support booting into snapshots9 back n fourth) like VMware?

Does anyone know if this latest version supports drag-n-drop filesharing between the host and guest?

Also, when I last tried it ago, Vbox lacked the ability to simply read existing virtual HDs and snapshots and pick them up just like that. Instead, the corresponding data for the VM needs to exist in an XML file somewhere, otherwise your snapshot becomes useless.

These two are the reasons why I preferred Microsoft Virtual PC over Vbox, but now that the former is discontinued, I guess I'll have to look for alternatives...

Hi all,

I have always longed to "mess" around with Windows 98, again!

I have been reading the Virtual Box manual and it would appear that guest addons for Win 98 are not available.

As my current machine will not take Win98 is there another VM that will accomodate Win 98?

V. 3.0.2 seems to solve the problems I had with SMP - great.

One important hint that had not been mentioned in this thread so far: In order to make Direct 3D acceleration work you have to install the Windows Guest Additions in Safe Mode - see manual chapters 4.2.1 and 13.
