It may or may not have anything to do with today's push of Microsoft updates, but quite unexpectedly I noticed an alert (Eset, task bar, color changed). I'm not sure about the message ('some components of the operating system are missing ??'), and it asked me to download a list of Windows updates. (Which I didn't want). This is a Windows XP Home Edition, service pack 2 system.
I went to advanced setup, tools, System updates, and changed the setting to 'no updates'.
The manual was not clear about this, have I disabled this correctly ?
The alert didn't go away till after a reboot.
Eset version 4.0.437.0.
