I keep losing the OSS & have to re-activate it from the Cd.

Its installed on a computer I built about 8 months ago & was ok til about a month ago. its got xppro, vista 64 & 4 installs on linux on it plus dos.

I 1st saw an 'error3', reinstalled oss & ok. A couple days later I see non-system disk, again reinstall & ok, couple days later it froze on bootup, reinstalled oss
from cd & ok. Today I see nonsystem disk again, when I press key it goes to xp/vista boot menu & boots ok.

I dont use this machine every day, I use it mostly for video editing/dvd burning in XPpro. It seems to act up every other day or so.

Hello dblake,

Thank you for using Acronis Disk Director 10 Suite (http://www.eu.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/diskdirector/)

There can be different reasons for this unstable behavior of the OS Selector:

1. Please check the following solution: 1866: Acronis OS Selector Fails to Load (http://kb.acronis.com/content/1866)

2. Check you Hard Disk for errors and bad sectors:

- Go to the Command Prompt (Start -> Run -> cmd)
- Enter the command: "chkdsk DISK: /r/f"
where DISK is the partition letter you need to check. Please note, that
checking the C: drive may require you to reboot the machine.

Thank you.
